We had Cam's birthday dinner, with birthday cake on Sunday - since his birthday falls midweek this year. Now that it is his actual birthday we can do some of the things we need to do such as get his new license and register for the draft. We will spend a fun filled day at one of the worst DMV's in history. We have spent a couple of his birthdays there. Texas has some strange driving laws. You go there when you turn 15 for a permit, then 16 for the actual license and then 18 for a different direction for your photo, then again at 21 to receive your "I can drink now license" - the one so that bars don't have to look too closely to know that you are legal. (Can you say racket?).
And for this evenings continued celebration Cam will be at his Board of Review for his Eagle Scout Award (the fun never ends!). I hope there is some point in there today where he can actually feel happy and unfettered!

Yah! the big 18! That cracks me up that they have a "diff dir photo" kinda like a mug shot. ha ha Hope all is well. We have court date for Tierra cause she just has her paper license but the cop said it's expired?? It doesn't exp EVER written right on the paper and the test scores are good for 18 mo and it's only been 8! Ewww Anyway have fun at the DMV and it's scary to think you have to reg for the draft...that didn't even cross my mind!
Have a Great Day Cam. We love you!
Hope Cam had some fun on that "welcome to adult world" birthday. And Paige hope you are doing ok. He's an amazing young man, you can be very proud of that.
woohoo! 18 on the 18th...sounds like a lucky year waiting to happen!
Wow--the baby is 18!!! You certainly don't look like you have an 18 year-old! Let me know how the eagle thing is coming!
